What cookies and local storage mean here
Cookies are small values that a website may ask a browser to store and, in some cases, send with later requests. localStorage is a separate browser technology that keeps values for a particular website origin. This implementation uses localStorage to remember your cookie preference; it does not set an application HTTP cookie.
The preference record is named socialspryrankit-cookie-choice-v1. It stores the selected choice, optional-category flags, a schema version and a timestamp. It contains no name, email, facility location or contact message. The website’s code reads it locally when pages load so that the banner need not reappear after every navigation.
Categories and current implementation
| Category | Purpose | Example | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Core site operation; remembering your privacy choice | Cookie preference in localStorage; active | Session / persistent; this record persists until cleared or replaced |
| Analytics | Usage measurement | Analytics identifier; not implemented | Varies by provider; none set here |
| Functional | Remember optional preferences | Display preferences; not implemented | Varies by feature; none set here |
No analytics library, advertising integration or external embedded media is loaded. All illustrations are supplied inline. Accepting all categories records your selection but does not activate technologies that do not exist in this website. Any future optional integration would need appropriate disclosure and consent handling before use.
Making and changing a choice
“Accept All” saves affirmative optional-category choices. “Reject Non-Essential” saves those categories as off. “Preferences” opens a compact dialog where you can review and save individual choices. Essential preference storage remains enabled because it remembers the selection you request. All choices leave the equipment guides available.
You can reopen preferences with the button below or the “Cookie preferences” control in any footer. Changing a choice replaces the stored record on the current browser and origin. It does not alter settings on another browser or device. If storage is blocked or unavailable, the website reports that it cannot remember the choice beyond the current page.
Removing browser storage
Clearing this site’s stored data removes the preference record and causes the banner to appear again. Browser menus change between versions, so the following routes are practical starting points rather than a guarantee of identical wording.
- Chrome: Open Settings, then Privacy and security. Look under site settings or third-party cookie settings for all site data, search for socialspryrankit.com and delete its stored data.
- Edge: Open Settings, then Cookies and site permissions. Open the controls for managing cookies and site data, view stored site data, find this domain and remove its entry.
- Firefox: Open Settings, then Privacy & Security. Under Cookies and Site Data, choose Manage Data, search for this domain, remove the selected entry and save changes.
- Safari: On macOS, open Safari Settings, then Privacy and Manage Website Data. Find the domain and remove it. On iPhone or iPad, look in Settings, Apps, Safari, Advanced and Website Data; menu paths vary by system version.
Private browsing and privacy signals
Private browsing may clear localStorage when the private session ends. Browser restrictions can also prevent persistence. No sale, advertising sharing or cross-site measurement is implemented, regardless of a browser’s privacy signal. The application does not transmit your preference record to a consent platform.
